Therefore, Banca Mediolanum has arranged to reduce the spread on existing mortgages by 1% for 2 years; to grant favourable terms on existing credit lines and loans for 2 years with a rate equal to the Euribor+1.5% and to completely eliminate all costs on existing current accounts for 2 years, meaning monthly fees, credit card and ATM costs and fees related to custody accounts, including any payable stamp duty.
Altogether, the new initiatives represent a further contribution of somewhere between 1,300,000 and 3,000,000 euro, according to preliminary estimates, to be added to the amount already made available last May.
At the back of this tragic event, in fact, the possibility to suspend existing mortgage and loan payments for 12 months had been granted and at least 1 million euro has been set aside to be donated.
This amount will be allocated to customers who have suffered serious structural damage to their primary residence according to terms that will be defined at the conclusion of the assessment of damage currently underway.
"It's through acts of this nature that Banca Mediolanum continues to demonstrate that it stays close to its customers, even in difficult times", asserts Ennio Doris, President of the Bank. These measures are necessary, and not only from a humane point-of-view. These are concrete commitments that help to strengthen the relationship established between the customer and the bank, that make it special, that make it a relationship based on trust".
This explains why Banca Mediolanum has undertaken a number of measures over the years that look after its customers:
