Mediolanum S.p.A. informs that today non executive director Mr. Maurizio Carfagna resigned from the office.
The resignation has been motivated by the Director with the necessity – due to his designation in the list of directors filed by the Shareholders’ Agreement Mediobanca - to anticipately fulfil the discipline set forth by art. 36 of Law Decree of December 6, 2011, converted into Law n. 214 of December 22, 2011, that prohibits to “holders of offices in executive, supervisory and control bodies and general management positions in companies, or groups of companies, transacting business in the credit, insurance and financial markets to accept or carry out similar offices or positions in competing companies or groups of companies”.
The Company, acknowledging the decision taken by Mr. Maurizio Carfagna, on behalf of the Board of Directors and the Board of Statutory Auditors, expresses its unanimous gratitude for the precious contribution and commitment.
As of today, the resigned director indirectly holds no. 125,000 ordinary Mediolanum shares, to be added to no. 2,000 shares held by his wife.
