Following inaccurate news that appeared in a newspaper today, Mediolanum S.p.A. announces that the financing of 130 million euros approved by the Executive Committee of Mediobanca S.p.A. is just the renewal of previous financing of 170 million euros. The facility granted Mediolanum by Mediobanca has thus been reduced by 40 million euros. Mediolanum S.p.A. advises that the opening of this line of credit has been sought since 2001 to finance the acquisition of holdings abroad.
