‘InMediolanum’ Deposit Account Interest Rate Debuts at 3.5%
Banca Mediolanum announces that the remuneration on the amounts in the new deposit account ‘InMediolanum’ will be
3.5% gross (corresponds to 2.55% net) rather than 3.25% as presented at the ‘grand event’ in Rimini, May 1 and 2.
“We’ve decided to raise the rate immediately to 3.5% - stated Ennio Doris, President of Banca Mediolanum – after witnessing the enormous interest generated by the entry of our Bank in the deposit account market in literally all audiences. We were already prepared, with an internet, radio, press and TV advertising campaign promoting the interest rate of 3.25% and the one thereafter of
3.5%. The speed of customer response - which inundated the Banking Services Center and all the Family Bankers with requests for information as soon as the news appeared - pushed us to immediately offer the more aggressive interest rate, bypassing the running-in rate of 3.25% altogether.”
The ‘InMediolanum’ deposit account, which can also be opened directly by the customer via the internet (www.inmediolanum.it) starting on May 7th without requiring the assistance of a Family Banker, gives new customers free access to the world of Mediolanum so they can test out the quality of service on their own and verify that promises are kept.
The new product joins the ‘Freedom’ Account, the cutting-edge product in the Banca Mediolanum line of banking services, as well as all the banking solutions that have been recently developed. In fact, since the beginning of the year, the Bank has launched: ‘Rendicash’, a repurchase agreement with automatic renewal, ‘E’ Cosi’, an innovative account-in-a-card particularly suitable for young people; the ‘Portaconto’ service, which takes advantage of interbank portability permitting a fast and easy move of bank accounts and their connected services to Mediolanum.
